Backflow Prevention

Backflow is the process in which the intended flow direction of a water system is reversed. Backflow occurs when the water pressure in a building is stronger than that of the city. The city of Toronto has a back flow prevention system in place to prevent contamination in the city's water supply.

Owners of buildings with more than 5 units are responsible to install back flow prevention systems and undergo yearly testing to ensure proper functionality. Jermark is very experienced in installing and monitoring these systems, and ensures that all processes are done as efficiently and effectively as possible to minimize costs and meet municipal requirements.
